In this study, the concept of prime ideals, which holds an important place in commutative ring theory, was extended to define 1-absorbing primary ideals, and the relationships among the ideals in the literature were examined. In addition, a new characterization in terms of 1-absorbing primary ideals was obtained for Dedekind domains.
