Internship / CO-OP
Co-operative Education (CO-OP)
The CO-OP Education Model aims to combine higher education with professional life and to bridge the gaps between the business world and the university. It has been successfully implemented for 4 years by the Computer Engineering, Electrical-Electronics Engineering and Civil Engineering departments of Hasan Kalyoncu University. A student participating in the CO-OP program gains work experience by actively taking part in working life while continuing their university education.
The most important advantage of the CO-OP Education Model is that it enables students to gain work experience during their studies and facilitates their transition into the business world.
Fourth-year students who meet the requirements to participate in the CO-OP program are placed in long-term internships at partner companies for a semester and gain work experience by working in these companies while they are still students.
