Prof. Dr. Atilla Elçi, faculty member of the Department of Software Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU), has been elected a Senior Member of The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) — one of the world’s leading and most respected technical organizations. A non-profit organization whose foundations were laid by scientists such as Alexander Graham Bell and Thomas Edison, IEEE has hundreds of thousands of members and hundreds of chapters worldwide and works to advance engineering theory and practice in the fields of electrical, electronics, computer, automation, telecommunications, and many others.
HKU, which has made it a principle to host accomplished academics in its ranks, takes pride in the achievements of the scientists on its staff. Prof. Dr. Atilla Elçi, faculty member of the HKU Department of Software Engineering, has attained a major achievement, inscribing his name among the senior members of IEEE — a respected organization that works to advance engineering theory and practice in electronics, computer science, telecommunications, and many other fields around the world. Prof. Dr. Atilla Elçi has become a “Senior Member,” a role undertaking significant responsibilities among IEEE’s more than 426,000 members across 150 countries. Senior members holding this position are individuals with extensive professional experience, professional maturity, and documented significant achievements in the profession.
