“UDRONE”, a 3D adventure game in which the player maneuvers a drone through a control mechanism, attempting to reach the finish line within a set time without crashing into the challenging obstacles laid out across the maps, has been released on the App Store and Google Play for iOS and Android devices.

“UDRONE” RELEASED FOR iOS AND ANDROID DEVICES

Developed during the Global Game Jam (GGJ) event hosted by Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKÜ) simultaneously with the rest of the world, “UDRONE” had won second place under the “Lost and Found” theme. The game initially centered on an employee at a lost-and-found office trying to recover people’s lost belongings; however, during the productization phase after the GGJ concluded, its “theme” was revised so that it could become a continuously playable and more entertaining game. Transformed into a 3D adventure game in which the player maneuvers a drone through a control mechanism, attempting to reach the finish line within a set time without crashing into the challenging obstacles laid out across the maps, “UDRONE” was released on both the Google Play Store and the App Store following a rapid five-day development process after the GGJ ended.

5 DAYS, 4 STUDENTS, 1 GAME

Developed with the infrastructure provided by the Kalyoncu Innovation and Technology Transfer Office (KALİTTO) and the support of YOUDEVO, an academic-founded company based at the HKÜ Incubation Center, UDRONE took just five days to evolve from an idea into a product. At the Incubation Center, which offers the opportunity to develop games on numerous platforms such as “augmented reality” and “virtual reality,” HKÜ’s student entrepreneurs Ahmet Ünal Eren, Arda Kozan, Mustafa Melih Konaş, and Tuğcan Çankı turned their ideas into a product in a short time through an intensive work pace.

Thus earning itself a significant place in the gaming world and making HKÜ proud, “UDRONE” is now available to game enthusiasts via the following links:
